AFC Liverpool will face their landlords, Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club Marine, in a pre-season friendly at the Arriva Stadium this coming Saturday, 26th July.
The match has been arranged to celebrate the exciting link up between the two clubs following the signing of a ground sharing agreement which sees the Reds based at Marine for at least two seasons.
The game kicks off at 3:00pm and admission to the ground will be £5 for adults and £3 concessions with children aged 11 and under free as long as a paying adult accompanies them.
The game has also been arranged to raise funds for both clubs, who will share the net gate receipts from the game.
Admission to the ground for all fans will be via turnstiles 1 and 2 on College Rd which will open at 2:00pm. Matchday catering for hot and cold drinks and snacks will be available from inside the stadium after the opening of the turnstiles.
Bar facilities will be open to all fans in the Graham Lounge from midday, which is outside the stadium accessible via the car park to the front of the ground.
‘This match will be a great way for both clubs to celebrate the start of our new partnership,’ said AFC Liverpool chairman Chris Stirrup. ‘Everyone at AFC Liverpool is looking forward to the season ahead at our new home with its great playing surface and club facilities.’
“This is a very special occasion for both AFC Liverpool and Marine as we look to start what I am sure will be an exciting partnership between both clubs over the coming seasons,’ said Marine chairman Paul Leary. ‘I look forward to meeting and welcoming the players, officials and supporters of AFC Liverpool to the Arriva Stadium on Saturday in what will be a memorable day for everyone involved.’
